Khaosan Network

KUB Testnet: Khaosan Network

Last updated 2 months ago

Was this helpful?

The Khaosan Network is the testnet environment for the KUB network, created to facilitate developers and users in experimenting with decentralized applications (dApps), smart contracts, and other blockchain-based solutions. The Khaosan Network allows for testing without incurring real-world costs or risks, ensuring a safe and efficient development process.

Key Features

  1. High Transaction Throughput: The Khaosan Network is optimized to handle a large number of transactions, with the capability to process up to 25,000 transactions per block, ensuring that developers can simulate high-volume transaction environments and test their applications under real-world load conditions.

  2. Separate from KUB Testnet: The Khaosan Network operates independently from the main KUB Testnet, having been created using a snapshot of data from the mainnet taken on August 19, 2024, at 12:00 PM (UTC). This snapshot preserves the state of the blockchain as of that date, providing a stable foundation for testing while reflecting real-world conditions.

  3. Blockchain Infrastructure: Like the KUB Network, the Khaosan Network uses a decentralized, distributed ledger based on the Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism. This makes it highly secure, scalable, and efficient, while maintaining integrity and reliability.

  4. No Real Value Transactions: All tokens and assets in the Khaosan Network have no real-world value, allowing developers to test transactions, smart contracts, and token interactions without financial consequences.

Use Cases:

  1. Simulating high-volume transactions (up to 25,000 transactions/block)

  2. Experimenting with token standards (e.g., KAP-20)

  3. Developing DeFi protocols and NFT platforms

  4. Testing decentralized applications (dApps)

** Disclaimer: The Khaosan Network may not have 100% availability, as it is a lab environment intended for testing and development purposes. Downtime or interruptions may occur as part of ongoing improvements and experimentation.
